A Mahnke Frankenstein, with a little bit a of Karloff flavoring... go pick up Draw! issue 14 if you haven't already. It's got a lot of great stuff in it, Including a sizable interview with Doug.

Zatana's sorta Halloweenish, right?

I had hoped to play around with colours for both of these, but alas there is no time.
Stay safe tonight kids, don't forget to wear flame retardant asbestos costumes. And stay away from those weird cloaked figures, that chant around your schools infield.

I've been doing a few Spooky sketches (tis the season and all)
Here's two:

I always hated Vampirella as a character, But going back and looking at some of the old Warren stuff, she's won me over a little bit... Yes I'm saying the fact that she's an alien vampire, from a planet in which blood flows like water, is an improvement for me.

SPX was Great! Also very exhausting and very expensive. Ed and Joel put up with my crap, with which I'm thankful and I got to see a bunch of old friends and met some new ones. Getting there and getting back where both incredibly difficult. Any little thing that could go wrong did, but non of the major things that could go wrong happened,we all made it safe and sound.
Didn't draw as much as I would like while I was there, but here's one of the few things I did do.
Anyhow thanks again to everyone I met there, your all fun and interesting people.

Ah, Same Old Story, My first true love. I hope to do a lot more with them online soon. And the OGN's script Steven and I are working on is approaching the end of the tunnel. Not to mention they'll be showing up in a few new short stories as well in time for Mega Con next year.
We've gotten a mixture of really positive reviews and really tepid ones on this series, and I can't say I'm all that surprised. It's one of those things you'll either really be into, or really bored by.
Not to mention it very rhythm based, I've picked certain issues up at times and they just did not click with me; three weeks later I reread them and they work fine.
I wish my art was better for pretty much everything I've done so far on it. I can't tell you how many times I've killed a really good joke Steve came up with by bad timing, composition and draftsmanship.
But I love the characters and the story,a few other people do too and I'm pretty proud of that.

Here's a pic a did of The Middle Man characters. A fun book with art by the super talented Les Mclaine.I mainly did it for fun, but it took a contest to get me off my but and do it. All in all, I rushed it a little too much.Weak inking spots,off anatomy, some bad design and character placement weaken it as well. I'm still sorta happy with the super bright colours though. I've been doing a lot of other stuff too, just nothing worth posting yet.

I tried going quick and flat with the colors. It works to some extent, but I should have used more shading in his face.
